From the minestrone soup to the chicken cacciatore, one will not be disappointed with the portions but more importantly the flavor of quality. It is close to Lake Forest Beach on Lake Tahoe if you would like to burn a few calories after your meal.

Lanza's is located near Kings Beach on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. They are known for a friendly atmosphere and great Italian food. The menu consists of a variety of pastas, pizzas, chicken and veal dinners. They offer take out orders as well as party trays and family salads to go.
Garwoods is located on the north shore of Lake Tahoe in Carnelian Bay. There are great views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierras looking South and East. This is a great place to watch moon rises over the East Shore as well as sunsets and the alpine glow. They have a public pier and buoys and they attract many boaters in the summer months. Try the infamous Wet Woody, a rum and juice mixture served out of a Taylor machine which makes it a frozen concoction.
The Old Range Steakhouse is located in Tahoe Vista just across Hwy 28 from Lake Tahoe. It is the efforts of a Chicago native that makes this a must visit restaurant. Some of the items on the menu include pork chops, barbecue ribs, rotisserie chicken, crab legs, filet mignon and prime rib. Be ready to eat or take home a doggy bag because their portions are large. They have a very cozy atmosphere and a full bar with a great selection of wine.
Caliente is located on the eastern end of Kings Beach. It went through a major remodel and opened in August of 2007. They have an extensive menu featuring many authentic appetizers, dinners, and desserts. They also have a very large selection of Tequila which enables one to taste many different Margaritas. The Char-Pit is a great little burger joint in Kings Beach. It was established in 1962 as a summer time walk-up stand. In 1977 they began year round business. They have a great catering business meeting many needs. They also have ice cream, shakes, malts, sundaes, and they serve beer.
