Eagle Lake Trail is located near Emerald Bay on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. This is a great out and back hike up to Eagle Lake. It is approximately 2 miles so it can be a good half day hike or take your time throughout the day. It is usually accessible from June till October.

The Thai Kitchen Restaurant is located in Tahoe City close to the Y. They have great lunch and dinner specials and are open 7 days a week, however they are closed between lunch and dinner for a bit. The menu consists of many appetizers, soups, salads, curries, fried rice dishes, noodle dishes, entrees and specialty dishes. They also serve desserts, beer, wine and soft drinks. Brown rice is available and you can customize your spiciness.
The Blue Agave is located in the heart of Tahoe City across from Commons Beach. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the whole area and their carnita dishes are known by locals and visitors alike. They have an extensive menu including nachos, wings, guacamole dip, soups, salads, fajitas, burritos, chimichangas, large and small plates including many specials. Zia Lina is located in Tahoe City. They have a great atmosphere with a cozy feel. Whether seated at the bar or in the restaurant you will feel comfortable. They are open daily for happy hour and dinner. The menu consists of antipastas, salads, pizzas and pastas. The wood fired oven helps with the originality of the pizzas. They have a full bar with spirits, wine and beer.
Rosies Cafe is located in the heart of Tahoe City. The atmosphere is like no other cafe with many antiques and knick knacks throughout the restaurant. They offer meals all day long with breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and they have a menu for the kids. They have a full bar and a nice wine list. Christy Hill is located in the center of Tahoe City sitting just above Lake Tahoe. The lakefront setting is hard to beat and the menu is as well. The San Francisco Chronicle voted Christy Hill the most romantic restaurant. They have a great wine list and the service is casual but mindful. The bike path along the lake is just down the hill and is a short distance to Commons Beach. They have a great outdoor bar just below the restaurant which is open in the summer months.
Wolfdale's is located in the center of Tahoe City and offers great views of Lake Tahoe and the Lake Tahoe Basin enhancing an already incredible dining experience. They have a dinner menu consisting of teasers, soups, salads, small plates, entrees, and desserts. They have a full bar with a great happy hour and specialty drinks and wines. This is one of the best atmospheres you will find for fine dining in the area.
Jake's on the Lake is located in the heart of Tahoe City in The Boatworks Mall and has some of the best views of Lake Tahoe when considering lake front dining. It was established in 1978 and features a California Cusine. They have lunch, dinner, and cafe menus, a great wine list as well as a kids menu.
