This is a great trail to run, hike, bike and to run the dog.  This connects to many trails behind the neighborhood and over to Sugar Pine State Park.

Barker Pass Road crosses the Tahoe Rim Trail from Blackwood Canyon Road.

Blackwood Canyon is approximately 4 miles south of Tahoe City then it is a 7 mile drive up to Barker Pass.  This section of the Rim Trail is 16.7 miles to Tahoe City.  This brings you past Twin Peaks and Stanford Rock, through Ward Canyon and Paige Meadows then ends near Tahoe City in 64 Acres.

64 Acres is located just South of the"Y" in Tahoe City.  The park provides parking, public restrooms, access to the Truckee River, access to the bike trail down the West Shore and the bike trail toward Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley.  

This is also the location of the TART Tahoe City transfer center which provides indoor waiting and seating, restrooms, bike lockers and bus routes.

Speedboat Beach is located in North Lake Tahoe near the stateline and Kings Beach.  

It is also known as Buck's Beach.  It is at the end of Harbor Ave and there is a walkway down to the beach.  There are large boulders to climb on and plenty of sand to dig your feet in.  In the summer months it can get very busy as it is relatively small and parking can be hard to find.  ...

Sandy Beach is easy to find in Tahoe Vista just off of Hwy 28 / North Lake Blvd.

This is a great North Lake beach with great views looking south.

 

Patton Beach is located on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe in Carnelian Bay.
