West Shore Cafe is located on the western shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood and directly across from Homewood Mt Resort. They have a great lunch menu, dinner menu, bar menu, kid's menu, a full bar and a great wine list. The atmosphere in the bar and the dining room is very nice and cozy. West Shore Pizza is located in Tahoma in the Mariani Plaza on Hwy 89. They offer tasty starters and salads, pizza, calzones, pasta, sandwiches, wine and beer. They provide a cozy "pizza joint" atmosphere with a shuffle board, t.v.s and a stage for live music. Homewood Mt Resort is roughly 2 miles away and the Tahoma PDQ Market is close by.
The River Grill is located near the Y in Tahoe City and sits above the Truckee River. Fanny Bridge and the Lake Tahoe Dam are very close and worth a look. They recommend reservations and you can even request a favorite table. Their seasonal menus offer many starters, salads, soups and entrees. The Dam Cafe is located at the Y in Tahoe City. They have breakfast and lunch consisting of burritos, bagels and sandwiches. Take out is available and they have outdoor seating where dogs are welcome. They do not serve alcohol and do not have wi-fi which makes this a comfortable and cozy atmosphere to get away for a bit. The Thai Kitchen Restaurant is located in Tahoe City close to the Y. They have great lunch and dinner specials and are open 7 days a week, however they are closed between lunch and dinner for a bit. The menu consists of many appetizers, soups, salads, curries, fried rice dishes, noodle dishes, entrees and specialty dishes. They also serve desserts, beer, wine and soft drinks. Brown rice is available and you can customize your spiciness.
