Squaw Valley is located roughly 7 miles north of Tahoe City and is connected by a paved bike trail that runs alongside the scenic Truckee River.  An amazingly beautiful valley that’s capped by dramatic granite peaks.  The ski resort is huge and it’s well known for its expert terrain.  The relatively new Village At Squaw Valley offers live music and multiple choices for dining.  The Resort at Squaw Creek offers a challenging golf course set in the meadows.  Some of the properties within the valley can access the pools and amenities at the Resort at Squaw Creek.  Properties within the Hidden Lake community in Squaw have access to…..yep a hidden lake.  But the big draw for most is being close to the great skiing at Squaw.  They do have a shuttle between Squaw and Alpine Meadows, where many locals like to ski.

For dining in the valley there are many options including Fireside Pizza Company, Graham's at Squaw Valley, Le Chamois, Mamasake, Plumpjack, The Auld Dubliner, and Cornice Cantina, Mexican Grill.

There is access to a few trails in the Valley as well offering great views and challenging hikes - Granite Chief Trail, Shirley Lake Trail, and just outside the valley is the Western States Trail.
