Homewood Mountain Resort is located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe approximately 6 miles south of Tahoe City. There are 8 lifts and 64 runs on approximately 1260 acres. The lifts run daily from 9am till 4pm, conditions permitting. The views from the mountain are some of the best you can find in all of the Tahoe Basin.

Northstar At Tahoe has something for everyone in the family. It is located between Truckee and Kings Beach. Amenities include ski area, restaurants and shops in the village, golf course and much more. Once you arrive at Northstar you really do not have to leave. The Village offers many restaurants, bars, shops and other food options. They have many events throughout the whole year and with the ice skating rink, it is always fun to strap on some skates.

Sugar Bowl is located on the summit of Donner Pass near Soda Springs. Sugar Bowl is known to have the first chairlift in California and was opened in December of 1939. Walt Disney was one of the initial investors in 1938 when the Sugar Bowl Corporation was formed. Sugar Bowl consists of 4 peaks and 1650 skiable acres with 13 lifts up to 103 trails. They have a terrain park, snow making and they groom approx 500 acres. Crowley's is their longest run at over 3 miles long and The Palisades is their steepest.
Diamond Peak ski resort is located in Incline VIllage, NV. There are incredible views of Lake Tahoe and itt is easy to get from the parking lot to the lifts. The mountain is open from 9am till 4pm, weather permitting and the ticket windows opens at 8:30am. The base elevation is 6700 ft and the is 8450 ft. There is 655 skiable acres with 30 runs, tree skiing and a terrain park. There are 6 lifts with a high speed quad unloading at the top of Diamond Peak.
The ski area at Northstar is a family friendly resort with more challenging terrain on the back side. They have groomed runs as well as tree skiing. There are 18 lifts including a gondola, six quad lifts and a six pack. Also, there are five terrain parks, six adventure parks with halfpipes and a superpipe. From many locations you can see the Sierras but the best views are at the top. There are many options for food and drinks on the mountain as well as in the village.
The Squaw Valley Ski Resort is located in Squaw Valley which is approximately 5 miles from Tahoe City, 8 miles from Truckee, and just under 200 miles from San Francisco. The mountain offers world class skiing and attracts people from all over. They have many groomed trails and you'll find many challenging outcroppings and 2800 vertical feet. Alpine Meadows Ski Resort is a local's favorite and offers skiing and riding for all levels. The lodge is open 8 am till 5 pm and the mountain is open 9 am to 4 pm. In November of 2011, Squaw and Alpine joined forces. Currently a ski shuttle runs between the resorts. It is approx a 5 mile drive.
Alpine has 7 bowls consisting of 2,400 skiable acres. There are 13 lifts and 100+ runs. The base elevation is 6,385 ft and the summit Elevation is 8,637 ft. Average snowfall each year is 450 inches.
