Kilner Park is located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe approximately 3 miles south of Tahoe City on Highway 89 at the corner of Ward Avenue. The bike trail is close and there are tennis courts, a playground, a volleyball court, picnic tables and restrooms. The park consists of 7 acres.

Ward Creek State Park is located approximately 3 miles south of Tahoe City on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. It is situated between the neighborhoods of Timberland and Pineland. One can access the park from Hwy 89, The Rideout Community Center off Timberland or a trail head off Timberland Drive. The north side of the park is bordered by Ward Creek and to the east is Hwy 89. The park is roughly 180 acres and many trails can be accessed.

Marie Sluchak Community Park is located in Tahoma on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. There is a small stage with seating and a playground. This is run by the Tahoe Cedars POA and the Tahoe City PUD. They have movies in the park and other programs in the summer months.

Sugar Pine Point State Park is located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe approximately 11 miles south of Tahoe City on Hwy 89. General Creek is the main trail heading due west along the creek and is a 4.5 mile loop. General Creek continues into El Dorado National Forest and the trail connects with the Pacific Crest Trail at one point. There are other fun trails in and around the park. D.L. Bliss State Park is located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe not far from Emerald Bay and approximately 17 miles south of Tahoe City on Hwy 89. In fact the Rubicon Trail connects the park and Emerald Bay. It is a pretty challenging hike or run in some areas. There are 2 other trails called the Lighthouse Trail and the Balancing Rock Trail. Emerald Bay State Park was recognized as a National Natural Landmark in 1969. There are two campgrounds; one is walk or boat in only and the other is Eagle Point Campground. The boat in campground has a pier to load and unload gear and buoys to moor your boat for the night. The park consists of roughly 124 acres and is surrounded by forested public land which has many trials connecting to an extensive trail system. 64 Acres is located just South of the"Y" in Tahoe City. The park provides parking, public restrooms, access to the Truckee River, access to the bike trail down the West Shore and the bike trail toward Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley.
This is also the location of the TART Tahoe City transfer center which provides indoor waiting and seating, restrooms, bike lockers and bus routes.
